The merging of iconic brands Country Road and David Jones sees the brands relocating their offices. Originally in Sydney, their new award-winning Headquarters in the Botannica Business Park in Burnley, Melbourne. It’s no secret that Gray Puksand are some of the best architects in Australia, but their most recent project is truly next-level. The firm undertook the task of designing a new space for the David Jones and Country Road Group. Their objective was to construct over 22,000m2 across two buildings, serving as the new headquarters for 1,700 staff members. The two connected buildings, linked by a beautiful sun filled atrium offer staff incredible modern amenities encouraging and facilitating exciting new work opportunities and creative freedom for all staff.
Careful planning was imperative from the outset due to the limited 16-month construction timeframe. It was crucial to ensure that all staff members had access to modern amenities. This would encourage and facilitate exciting new work opportunities and creative freedom.The outcome is a beautiful, sun-filled atrium linking two connected buildings, offering staff incredible modern amenities.
