Showcasing the Construction Progress: Box Hill SKY SQR

Capture Point Media documented Golden Age Group’s Sky Square (Sky SQR) development in Box Hill from early works through to completion. We used long‑term time‑lapse, ground photography and drone video to create a clear visual record of this mixed‑use precinct in Melbourne’s east. The result is a concise construction story that shows how the project evolved over time.

A complete visual journey

From the first day on site to the final façade and public realm works, our team captured the construction journey in detail. Fixed time‑lapse cameras showed how structure, cranes and façades changed week by week. Drone flights added aerial context and scale. In addition, ground photography focused on key stages, trades and interfaces so the images linked design intent with on‑site activity.

Supporting project teams and stakeholders

The visual material gave project managers and stakeholders an accurate view of progress at each stage. Regular time‑lapse sequences, photography sets and targeted aerial footage helped verify milestones and compare work against the program. This made it easier to spot emerging issues early. It also reduced the need for frequent site visits and supported concise progress updates for clients, investors and the wider community.

A mixed‑use precinct transforming Box Hill

Sky Square brings together residential towers, retail, dining and landscaped public spaces next to key transport links in Box Hill. It sits close to Box Hill Station and the Suburban Rail Loop, which enhances connectivity for residents and visitors. The completed development activates the local streetscape with new community‑focused amenities. Our documentation shows how the precinct rose above the neighbourhood and how the finished spaces now sit within their surroundings.

Time‑lapse, drones and photography working together

For Sky Square, time‑lapse cameras delivered consistent viewpoints over many months. They clearly showed structural growth and sequencing. Drone footage provided high‑impact perspectives across the full site and its context. Meanwhile, ground photography added detailed views of interiors, façades and public areas. Together, these tools turned the construction process into a coherent visual story that is engaging to watch and practical to use in reports.

A lasting reference for future projects

The final documentation set now serves as a permanent reference for Golden Age Group and project stakeholders. It preserves every stage of Sky Square’s delivery and supports post‑completion marketing. It also provides a benchmark for future developments. For other projects, the same construction progress documentation approach can offer similar clarity, insight and long‑term value.
