Construction drone in motion: warehouse construction from above

A construction drone in motion is one of the clearest ways to show how a large warehouse project is taking shape. Drone video lets you see structures, hardstand and car parks all in one sweeping view. Vaughan Constructions uses construction drone video technology to show site progress at the Connect – Central Sydney Logistic Estate in Villawood, Western Sydney.

Central Sydney Logistic Estate: site overview

Capture Point Media recently filmed a construction drone in motion over Vaughan Constructions’ latest industrial project. The estate, known as Connect – Central Sydney Logistic Estate, will deliver more than 65,000 m² of warehousing and 4,200 m² of premium office space. It also includes about 30,900 m² of hardstand, 8,900 m² of asphalt car parking and a 4,250 m² fire trail area.

Sustainability is a core part of the design. Each building will include a solar system in the range of 50 kW to 100 kW and a rainwater reuse system. Construction teams are working to bring this 69,200 m² estate to life, and drone footage helps show just how much is happening on site.

Dynamic views of live construction

On a clear day at Villawood, our team filmed the estate with a construction drone in motion while work continued below. The drone moved around and above the structures to capture steel frames, façades, roof installs and yard areas in action. This moving viewpoint makes the footage more engaging than static ground shots alone.

Drones can fly close to key details and then pull back to show the full site. This helps viewers understand both the design and how each building sits within the wider estate. For a large industrial project, that combination of detail and overview is hard to match with traditional cameras.

Showing scale and context

Construction drone video also shows the true scale of a warehouse and logistics estate. From the air, you can see loading docks, truck access, office entries and car parking in one frame. You can also see how the site connects to surrounding roads and infrastructure.

This broader context is useful for clients, tenants and investors who want to understand how the site will work day to day. It turns plans and drawings into a real‑world view of the project in motion.

Why work with Capture Point Media for construction drone footage?

Capture Point Media focuses on construction drone photography and video for builders, developers and asset owners. We plan each flight to highlight structure, scale and design features while staying safe and compliant on site. Our aim is to create clear, sharp footage that project teams can use many times.

We have worked with clients such as Vaughan Constructions to produce ongoing drone updates across a project’s life. These clips support project marketing, leasing campaigns and stakeholder updates. They also create a visual record of how a major estate like the Central Sydney Logistic Estate evolved over time.

How construction drone video supports project communication

Construction drone clips are useful far beyond simple site updates. They can:

  • Support marketing and leasing campaigns by showing the estate from the air
  • Help attract potential clients and investors with clear, engaging visuals
  • Provide stakeholders with an easy way to track site progress
  • Give project teams video they can reference in reports and presentations

Because the drone is in motion, each clip can follow a clear path over the site. This makes it easy to guide viewers through key areas and highlight important milestones.
